Meeting with the guide and visit to:
-Montecatini Alto, with the ruins of its ancient strongholds,
the church of S. Pietro and Piazza Giusti with its medieval
towers, still retains today the atmosphere of days long
past. A definite must is a stop at the lookout point
on the hill of Montecatini Alto. The sweeping horizon
before you has been defined " the lookout point
of half the region of Tuscany"
-Buggiano Castello, this is the most characteristic and
picturesque town in the hills of Valdinievole. Palazzo
Pretorio and the Pieve (church) alone are worth a visit
but let's not forget the many cultural and folk events,
which especially in the summer, make Buggiano a teeming
centre for lovers of history, art and local traditions
