Not far from Pisa, immersed in an enchanting
landscape, is the ancient village of Vico Pisano. Strategically
located due to its road network it was the scene of epic
conflicts between the troops from Pisa and Florence. In
the 15th century, the famous Florentine architect Filippo
Brunelleschi designed its fortifications.
