Strolling round and about in Lucca
With the expertise of our nature trail leaders we suggest
a series of trekking itineraries as well as easy walking
trails through the most enchanting countryside in our
province. Walking among olive groves we come to villas
and farmhouses where we can indulge in the olive and
wine sampling while taking in the most stunning views
of the mountains in Garfagnana. We can then go on to
the "vie dell'acqua" (water trails) walking
along the river park of Serchio or admire the ancient
architecture of the various mills and of the imposing
aqueduct. We shall then make our way through the secular
oak woods, a natural border between Lucca and Valdinievole,
coming out onto surprising castles and ancient Pievi
(churches).
