Bike riding around Lucca
Thanks to its ring of tree-lined Renaissance walls and to its suggestive historical centre now a pedestrian precinct, Lucca is the only city in Tuscany which offers visitors the unique chance of seeing its splendour on a bike, completely hassle-free.
Meeting with the guide in Piazza S. Maria and bike rental (rental not included in tour price)
-leisurely ride on the city walls and historical introduction of the city
-as we come down we stop and visit the courtyard of Palazzo Pubblico and Piazza Napoleone
-we ride on to Piazza S. Michele
-we ride through some suggestive city lanes and reach La Cattedrale di S. Martino (the cathedral of S. Martino)
-we ride along part of the walls until we reach one of the Renaissance bulwarks
-we stop at the very characteristic Piazza del Mercato, once a Roman amphitheatre
-we return the bikes in Piazza S. Maria
